Spare batteries for your Hubsan H501s.

I’ve just bought my first drone, a Hubsan H501s, incl. the advanced FPV 5.8GHz controller. Super happy with it so far.

My very first flight, in London.

If you plan to use your drone multiple times in a row (flight time being limited to 15–20 minutes with a single battery), you need spare batteries for the aircraft.

By default the controller uses 8 AA batteries, not very handy. So I decided to search for a 12v (8 x 1.5v) rechargeable battery.

Here’s the one I found, 11.1v, which perfectly does the job (starts above 12v when fully charged): https://amzn.to/2LEzrQZ

I also bought a charger for different types of Lipo batteries after purchasing a few spare ones for the drone itself: https://amzn.to/2mPUxxN (charger) + https://amzn.to/2OpZIRl (2 batteries).

The Keenstone charges both types of batteries (controller & drone) pretty quickly (the default balanced charger provided with the H501s takes a few hours to fully recharge a battery).

Bear in mind I had to buy 2 cable adapters (XT30 to XT60 for the controller’s battery and EC2 male to female deans for the drone’s batteries).

I found both adapters on Ebay.
